Clifton Springs project

the dell 6-s.jpg

The Dell heritage signage progect in Clifton Springs was an amazing experience!

Matthew Jackman was the project manager and a great guide and friend to me throughout.

I learnt a great deal about this amazing site, and the mineral springs that are here.

I also learnt about some new creative processes:

I worked closely with graphic designer, Mark Trinham

and used Glassmetal Industries for the first time.

The recycled timber posts represented the old jetty remains

The torpedo bottle shape of the sign is inspired by one of the more popular bottle shapes used at the Springs.

The bubbles of information illustrate the exceptional effervescence of the bottled mineral waters

The bricks at the base represent the old wells, and are made from original bricks claimed from this site.

Thanks to Rowan and Mick for their creative laying!

The angle of the signs was inspired by the tremendous winds I experienced on my first site visit.
