This project was a lot of fun.
The brief was to create something for this young family's new outdoor alcove. Butterflies were the theme.
This space has many view points with windows from both levels looking into the alcove.
Overall height of space was 3.5m

the process

The butterflies were cut out with a plasma cutter.
This allowed each design to be individual. Straight from my head to the steel!
I left holes to embellish with some of my fused glass discs.

I would like to thank Vicci Crowley-Clough for her help and hire of kiln
at her beautiful glass studio, Totally Shattered, on the Bellerine Peninsula.
Complimenting my metalwork with a splash of glass has been exciting!
