latest work

The second half of this year has been extremely busy with plenty to show and tell.

Clifton Spring's Heritage Project was launched at the end of May. It took nine months to come together. I was the artist chosen to provide sculptural signage to the site of the mineral spa resort 1871-1920. 3 metal work signs in the shape of torpedo bottles are mounted on old jetty timbers and contain historic information in mineral water bubbles within the sign. Bases represent well ruins, and were created by Rowan Stephens and Mick Collins. This project was the huge vision of Matthew Jackman, then employed with COGG. I was honoured to be the creative element behind the project!

Pictured is the lovely Steph's security door in Geelong West. We were all very pleased with the result. x

July/August saw the creation and installation of the Giant Seadragon at the new Surf Coast Shire offices in Torquay. The building doesn't open until December, but seadragon is snug inside suspended from the roof trusses in the central atrium.

Other recent work has included: Shelves for McGains Organic food shop, Holiday House signage, creative gifts for friends and a metal screen facade to a residential home! Next on the job list are three Tuscan inspired window baskets.......stay tuned

For all and more of the current projects I would like to thank my ever supportive and loving husband Rowan. His creative input has been vital and very welcome!

Enjoy...........

Please feel free to enquire about commissions, or any other questions via this site,

stay happy, Cinnamon

Giant Seadragon

seadragon sepia-s.jpg

Giant Seadragon, 4.5m long from nose to tail!

Suspended and floating in the new Surf Coast Shire offices, Torquay.

Fused glass inserts have been rivetted into the copper fins, and eyes.

Once this building is complete I trust that light from the clearstorey windows

will sparkle through these colourful additions.

I would like to dedicate my website this year to two sculptors:

 Peter Blizzard, my university lecturer/mentor,

Rod Gray,  self confessed wood scrounger and great mate

you will both be hugely missed

RIP

These three panels were designed around a leaf pattern

design I had used on another sculpture that these clients loved.

It lended itself beautifully for this window screen :)

The panels were galvanized and then parts

were finished with a rust paint effect.

This one is located near the site of the Seltzer well circa 1910,

which you will find down on the foreshore walk.
